Mexico : Anti-dumping Action Against Denim from the Mainland of China
The Department has received information that the Mexican Ministry of Economy (MMoE) has published a notice in the Official Gazette (Diario Oficial de la Federacion) of 21 October 2011 to announce conclusion of the anti-dumping (AD) duty investigation on imports of denim from the Mainland of China without imposing any measures. DETAILS
2. MMoE announced in the Official Gazette of 21 April 2010 the initiation of an AD investigation on imports of denim, classified under subheadings 5209.42.01, 5209.42.99, 5211.42.01 and 5211.42.99 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of Mexico, from the Mainland of China. The Department has issued Commercial Information Circular No. 193/2010 on 5 May 2010 to inform the trade of this.
3.While MMoE found evidence of dumping, it was unable to establish objectively injury or threat of injury to the domestic industry, and the AD investigation was concluded without imposition of any measures. On 21 October 2011, MMoE published in the Official Gazette a final resolution on termination of the investigation.
