The US International Trade Commission (ITC) announced in the Federal Register (FR) notice of 25 September 2013 the institution of investigations and commencement of preliminary phase antidumping and countervailing duty investigations to determine whether there is a reasonable indication that an industry in the US is materially injured or threatened with material injury, or the establishment of an industry in the US is materially retarded, by reason of imports of grain-oriented electrical steel from the Mainland of China that are alleged to be sold in the US at less than fair value and subsidised by the Government of the People's Republic of China.
