Dear Sirs,
Commercial Information Circular No. 628/2020
US : Anti-dumping Action against Wood Mouldings and Millwork Products from the Mainland of China : Preliminary Determination of Sales at Less than Fair Value
Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 99/2020 of 7 February 2020, the US Department of Commerce (DoC) announced in the Federal Register (FR) notice of 12 August 2020 its preliminary determination that wood mouldings and millwork products from the Mainland of China were being, or were likely to be, sold in the US at less than fair value. The weighted-average dumping margins were found to be 40.30% - 359.16%. The FR notice is available at: https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2020-08-12/pdf/2020-17637.pdf .
2.On 27 February 2020, the US International Trade Commission (ITC) already published its preliminary affirmative determination that there was a reasonable indication that an industry in the US was materially injured by reason of imports of wood mouldings and millwork products from the Mainland of China. If the final determination of the DoC is affirmative, the ITC will make its final determination on whether the domestic industry in the US is materially injured, or threatened with material injury, by reason of the subject imports within 45 days after the DoC's final determination.
