The Mainland of China : Supplementary Provisions to the "Interim Rules on Entry Requirements for Film Enterprises"
According to the "Mainland and Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement", the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television and the Ministry of Commerce promulgated the Supplementary Provisions to the "Interim Rules on Entry Requirements for Film Enterprises" on 7 March 2005. With effect from 1 January 2005, Hong Kong services suppliers are allowed to set up wholly owned companies in the Mainland on a pilot basis to engage in the distribution of Mainland produced motion pictures after obtaining the approval of the relevant authorities in the Mainland. The registered capital of such distribution companies should not be less than RMB 1 million. A copy of the Supplementary Provisions is attached at Annex (pdf format) for reference.
