Commercial Information Circular No. 405/2023
European Union (EU)* : Result of expiry review of the anti-dumping measure on okoumé plywood originating in the Mainland of China
Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 294/2022 of 6 April 2022, the European Commission published an Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1159 on 14 June 2023 to impose a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of okoumé plywood originating in the Mainland of China following the expiry review. 2.Salient points of the regulation are set out below -
| (a) Product | : | Okoumé plywood, defined as plywood consisting solely of sheets of wood, each ply not exceeding 6 mm thickness, with at least one outer ply of okoumé not coated by a permanent film of other materials, currently falling under CN code ex 4412 31 10 (TARIC code 4412 31 10 10) and originating in the Mainland of China |
| (b) Rate of duty | : | 66.7% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (except for a number of companies with individual duty rates from 6.5% to 23.5%) |
| (c) Effective date | : | 15 June 2023 |

The Division is responsible for, among others, guiding and coordinating enterprises in Guangdong Province in responding to anti-dumping investigations against products from the province.
